The Arizona Science Center is set to launch a new series for adults called Spotlight on Science. This innovative series will feature experts in various fields of science, providing an evening of discussion and education on topics that have a significant impact on society.
The first event in the new series, “Breakthroughs in Blood Biomarkers–Revolutionizing Alzheimer’s Disease Diagnosis,” will take place at the Science Center located downtown at 600 E. Washington St on Tuesday, May 14 starting at 7 p.m. There will also be a VIP reception for ticket holders starting at 5:30 p.m.
Nicholas Ashton, PH. D, an expert in Alzheimer’s disease, will lead the discussion as the senior director of the Banner Research Biomarker Program. Guests can expect to hear about Ashton’s work as a leader in the development, validation, and application of fluid biomarkers, including cerebrospinal fluid and blood tests, in the battle against Alzheimer’s and related disorders.
