The number of people with hip disease at Tam Anh General Hospital has increased by more than 48% in the past 6 months compared to the same period last year, with over 500 cases. According to MSc.BSc.CKI Le Dinh Khoa, Head of Joint Reconstruction Department, Orthopedics Trauma Center, the primary causes of hip disease in younger individuals include a lack of exercise, alcohol abuse, and smoking. These factors have led to an increase in the prevalence of hip diseases among young people. On the other hand, traditional factors such as degeneration, a history of hip disease, and obesity still contribute to hip diseases in older individuals.

Common hip diseases include hip dysplasia, hip degenerative arthritis, and femoral head necrosis. These conditions cause severe pain, limit daily activities, and can even lead to disability if left untreated. Delaying medical intervention can result in complications such as skeletal deformities, limping, and disability.

Minimally invasive joint replacement techniques have emerged as a beneficial solution for patients seeking surgery for their hip disease. These techniques allow patients to resume physical activities post-surgery and avoid limitations observed in traditional surgical methods.
