Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Hermitage museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia on November 17, 2023. The Kremlin announced on Monday that Putin will use the upcoming virtual G20 summit to outline Russia’s perspective on the “deeply unstable world situation.”

According to Pavel Zarubin, a Russian state TV presenter, this event will be the first time in a long while to include both Putin and Western leaders. The virtual G20 summit is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, according to the state RIA news agency. In addition to the G20 meeting, Putin will participate in a discussion about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict via video link at a summit of the BRICS bloc of nations on Tuesday.

This move by Putin indicates an effort to assert Russia’s stance on global affairs and engage in high-level discussions with leaders from around the world. It also reflects a potential opportunity for diplomatic dialogue and collaboration in tackling pressing international issues.
