Samsung, one of the world’s largest technology companies, has announced the release date and location of its upcoming flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S24. The devices will be unveiled at a launch event in San Jose, California on January 17th, 2024. Pre-orders for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models will begin on January 18th, with general availability for consumers starting on January 30th.
Samsung has not yet released pricing details for the new phone series but it is expected to follow a similar pricing policy to the Galaxy S23 series. The estimated prices for each model are around $900 for the Galaxy S24, $1,000 for the Galaxy S24+ and $1,200 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The company aims to boost its earnings in the first quarter with this new release which will be equipped with One UI 6 based on Android 14 and will include specially developed artificial intelligence features.
The choice of location for this year’s launch event is different from previous years where it was held in New York. Samsung is looking to generate excitement and anticipation leading up to launch date by showcasing new features and capabilities of the Galaxy S24 series at this event in San Jose.
