Seahawks reach agreement with Laviska Shenault on contract terms

The Seattle Seahawks have made a move to strengthen their special teams and add versatility to their roster by signing former second-round pick Laviska Shenault. Shenault, who was traded to the Panthers at the beginning of the 2022 season, has experience as a kick returner and could be a valuable asset for the team moving forward.

In his first two seasons with the Jaguars, Shenault caught 121 passes for 1,219 yards with five touchdowns. However, his production decreased during his time with the Panthers, where he only had 37 catches for 332 yards with one touchdown in the last two years. Despite this, Shenault’s experience as a kick returner could make him an asset to the Seahawks with the new kick return rule being passed.

Seattle’s decision to sign Shenault indicates their interest in adding another player who may be able to assist in the return game. With his potential as a receiver and experience as a kick returner, Shenault could provide versatility to Seattle’s roster and make him a valuable asset for the team moving forward.
