Shining a Light on Sustainability: Tesem’s BRI&Va Technology Enhances the Shine of PCR Aluminum Packaging

Tesem Group, a company specializing in aluminum beauty packaging, has recently introduced a new technology called BRI&Va that enhances the shine of Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) aluminum packaging. This innovative technology was developed over two years and is currently patent pending.

According to Tesem, BRI&Va technology can give high-percentage aluminum PCR a glossy finish equivalent to that of brand new anodized aluminum. This allows brands to maintain the luxurious appearance of shiny metal packaging while also promoting sustainability. The company claims that BRI&Va technology encourages the use of high-content PCR and helps achieve clients’ sustainability objectives. By replacing virgin aluminum with 20% PCR aluminum, Tesem states that there can be a significant decrease of 78.9% in CO2 emissions.

Currently, the technology is being scaled up, with Tesem partnering closely with Chanel, who has shown interest in incorporating the BRI&Va technology into their packaging. The new technology will be demonstrated at Tesem’s booth during the LuxePack Monaco show, which takes place from September 30 to October 2 this year.
