Delicious Mocktail Recipes for Valentine’s Day from Tulsa Health Department

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and in preparation for the special day, the Tulsa Health Department’s substance abuse prevention program and the StopDUI Task Force are urging residents to drink responsibly and safely or try a fun mocktail instead. On Friday, February 9, THD Prevention Specialist Kandice Lawson and Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Eric Kirby will share delicious recipes for festive drinks to prepare for Valentine’s Day in a Facebook Live mocktail tutorial presented by the two organizations.

For those who want to indulge in a sweet treat on Valentine’s Day, the “Circus of Love” mocktail recipe is perfect. To make this drink, you will need one large carbonated beverage, a jar of marshmallow fluff, four glasses, a container of cotton candy, and sprinkles. Roll the rim of each glass in marshmallow fluff before dipping it in sprinkles. Pour ¾ of the carbonated beverage into each glass and drop 3-4 handfuls of cotton candy into each glass before stirring. Serve immediately.

Another delicious option for those who want something more refreshing on Valentine’s Day is “Stop in the Name of Love.” To make this drink, you will need 2 ounces sparkling hibiscus red grape juice, 2 ounces lemon-lime soda, 2 ounces orange juice, an orange wheel, and several Valentine’s candy hearts. Add ice to a glass filled with these ingredients and shake or stir until well mixed. Strain into a chilled glass full of crushed ice before adding several Valentine’s candy hearts as garnish. Finish with an orange wheel before serving.

If you want something that is both refreshing and fruity on Valentine’s Day, then “Kandi-Coated Punch” is perfect for you! To make this drink
