Sliding Stock Markets and Earnings Warnings: Helsinki Exchange Reports Six Consecutive Days of Decline, Titanium Issues Earnings Warning, Sanoma Media Finland Terminates Employees in Change Negotiations, Fortum Secures Electricity Sales Agreement with Werewolf Alloyxen

On Wednesday, the Helsinki Stock Exchange experienced a slight decline, with the OMXH general index ending at 9,735.18 points, down 0.1 percent. This marked the sixth consecutive day of decline for the general index. The most traded stocks of the day were Nordea (+1.2%), Roots (+0.9%), and Sampo (+0.4%), while decliners included Kone (-0.9%), Stora Enso (-0.9%), and Cargotec (-1.0%).

Meanwhile, fund company Titanium issued an earnings warning, stating that the current year’s turnover is expected to fall below the medium-term target level. As a result, Titanium’s price fell by 7.9 percent to 11.65 euros. IT company Tecnotreen saw a 5.3 percent increase in its share price after announcing successful merger talks with Swedish software company Sandvik Software Solutions AB.

Sanoma Media Finland concluded change negotiations that resulted in the termination of eight employees from its newsroom and publishing operations.

Fortum secured a five-year electricity sales agreement with Swedish ferroalloy producer Werewolf Alloyxen, which involves the supply of 0.4 terawatt hours of electricity and nuclear power guarantees of origin with gradually increasing pricing in Sweden.

Wärtsilä signed a contract with the LCRA authority in Texas for the supply of ten power generators for the Texas power grid.

Analysts provided several recommendation changes for different companies, including adjustments to target prices and recommendations for Oma Säästöpankki, Honkarakenne, Mandatum, Stora Enso, Huhtamäki, Kesko, UPM-Kymmene, Wärtsilä, Cargotec, Pihlajalinna and more.
