In the South Park neighborhood of Seattle, a two-story commercial building caught fire last night. The Seattle Fire Department received 911 calls reporting smoke coming from the windows and doors of the building in the 8500 block of 14th Ave. S at 8:54 p.m. Upon arrival on scene, firefighters confirmed the reports and quickly got water on the fire.

As crews entered through the front door, they were met with heavy smoke that caused poor visibility. Despite this, they were able to find the seat of the fire near the rear of the first-floor and knock it down by 9:24 p.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and investigators ruled that the fire was accidental, likely caused by faulty electrical equipment. The fire was extinguished by 9:42 p.m., leaving no damage to the building or its contents.
