CBS Sports says Super Bowl LVIII broke records as the most-watched program in television history

The Super Bowl LVIII, which aired on CBS Sunday, has been declared the most-watched program in television history by CBS Sports. Based on initial data from Nielsen Media Research and Adobe Analytics, the network announced that its coverage drew in an average of 123.4 million views across all platforms, including the CBS Television Network, Paramount+, Nickelodeon, Univision, CBS Sports and NFL digital properties.

This year’s game was also the most streamed Super Bowl in history. In an email to Paramount employees, President and CEO Bob Bakish declared it “officially one for the record books” and “a monumental and historic win” for the company.

The halftime performance featured iconic R&B artist Usher along with special guests Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and more. Pop superstar Taylor Swift was also seen at numerous Chiefs games this season and her attendance increased viewership and ticket sales. Viewers also saw Swift performing at the game.
