The SCHEELS Iowa High School Sports Awards have announced the nominees for Boys and Girls Bowlers of the Year. The winners will be revealed during a live show on June 10 at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines. This program recognizes outstanding student-athletes over a nine-month period and will culminate in a red-carpet event this spring, celebrating athletes, coaches, and teams from across the state that participate in sanctioned Iowa high school sports.
Nominated athletes are invited to RSVP for complimentary tickets to the event, made possible by sponsors. Guest tickets can be purchased through a provided link. More information about the show and updates can be found on the event’s website.
At the live show, the nominees for Boys Bowler of the Year will be recognized, along with players of the year for all other 20 sports being honored. The event will also feature prestigious awards recognizing exceptional on- and off-the-field achievements by student-athletes, coaches, and teams, including Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards.
The nominees for Boys Bowler of the Year are Kendall Bell from Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, Aiden Cowan from Marshalltown, Jake Fink from Denison-Schleswig, Vann Lessig from Vinton-Shellsburg, Rush Steen from Waterloo West, and Noah White from Charles City. These young men have demonstrated exceptional skills on their way to becoming top contenders for this prestigious award.
