Pitt women’s soccer players, Anna Bout, Chloe Minas, and Sarah Schupansky, have been recognized with selection to the 2023 Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Teams by College Sports Communicators. This award acknowledges the top student-athletes in the nation for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program distinguishes soccer honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. The Academic All-District® honorees will advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot along with first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in early December.
These three standout players have been instrumental in Pitt’s most successful season in program history. They set team records for wins, ACC wins, goals, assists, points, and home wins in a single season. The Panthers have earned spots in both the ACC Championship and NCAA Tournament fields for the second time in program history. They advanced to the ACC Championship semifinals and NCAA Tournament elite eight.
Pitt is currently ranked No. 11 and is set to face off against No.1-ranked Florida State in the 2023 NCAA Championship Elite Eight at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday, Nov. 24 at 5:30 p.m., which will be streamed live on ESPN+
