The women’s basketball team at JMU is not expected to see significant turnover during this offseason, but there have already been some notable changes to the roster. Among the additions are Ro Scott from Marshall and Zakiya Stephenson from Ole Miss. Ro Scott led Marshall in scoring and will bring an offensive boost to JMU. Zakiya Stephenson, a former top-100 recruit, has the potential to crack JMU’s rotation and could be the starting point guard next season.

On the departures side, Chloe Sterling, one of JMU’s point guards, has left the team. Sterling led the team with 87 assists and showed potential to develop into an All-Conference player at the mid-major level. Steph Ouderkirk, a role player for the Dukes, will finish her career at Richmond after averaging 18 minutes, 3.3 points, and 3.5 rebounds per game in 2023-24.
