Traveling? Don’t Let Your Skin Take the Hit: Expert Tips from Dr. Tran Nguyen Anh Tu

Traveling can take a toll on your skin, so it’s important to maintain healthy and beautiful skin while on the go. Dr. Tran Nguyen Anh Tu, Head of the Department of Dermatology at Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital, shares some advice on how to achieve this.

Before embarking on your journey, prepare your skin by avoiding harsh beauty products that can dry out or irritate it. Instead, moisturize your skin to prevent dehydration from cold, dry air during long flights or car rides. It’s also important to choose the right sunscreen for your travel destination and apply it generously all over your body, especially if you’ll be engaging in outdoor activities or spending time near water. Reapply every 2-3 hours or after sweating, swimming, or bathing for maximum protection.

In addition to sunscreen, don’t forget to pack makeup products with high water resistance to prevent smudging and discoloration due to sweat. And don’t forget about your feet – keep them moisturized and change shoes regularly to prevent blisters and other foot issues. Staying hydrated by drinking enough water throughout the trip is also key for both your skin and overall health.

By following these tips, you can keep your skin looking healthy and beautiful no matter where you go!
