Donna Kelce supports small businesses by allowing them to feature cookie recipes on mugs to help relieve students’ lunch debt – KIRO 7 News Seattle

Donna Kelce, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, is known for her famous chocolate chip cookies. A small business in the Kansas City area created a mug that caught the attention of Donna Kelce, 71, according to People. She ended up buying 20 of the mugs for Christmas gifts. The mug actually features the entire recipe and directions for Donna Kelce’s cookie recipe and sells for about $18, according to People.

In response to Donna’s purchase, Annie Stowe, owner of Annie’s Barn in Kansas City, reached out to Donna and asked if she could put her cookie recipe on a mug and donate $5 per mug sold to pay off elementary school lunch debt — and she said yes. Enough mugs were sold to pay off about $2,000 toward lunch debt at a school in the Kansas City metro area. When asked why she decided to do this, Stowe said “When the Chiefs do well, I do well and this is my little way to give back.”

Donna Kelce’s cookies became well known after she made them for her sons Travis and Jason before they met in Super Bowl LVII in February 2023. If you are interested in a mug featuring her recipe, you can visit Annie’s Barn’s website.

Stowe said she had asked Donna Kelce if she wanted to deliver checks directly to the school but has not received any response from her yet. Currently in Las Vegas watching her son Travis play with the Kansas City Chiefs against San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII.
