The United Nations World Heritage Committee has declared the Inform es-Sultan archaeological website in Jericho a “World Heritage Website in Palestine.” This choice was made at a convention in Riyadh, in response to UNESCO. The announcement was met with approval from the Palestinian Authority, whereas Israel expressed anger over the choice.
