The US Department of Commerce has announced the recipients of $504 million in government funding as part of the 2022 CHIPS and Science Act. This initiative aims to promote regional innovation and drive economic growth by selecting 12 technology hubs from a pool of 370 applicants.
In 2023, the Biden administration launched the first phase of the technology hub program, which narrowed down the initial list of locations to 12 hubs spread across 14 different states. These states include Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma
