The No. 7 USC Aiken golf team is preparing for the upcoming NCAA South/Southeast Regional tournament, which will take place in Gainesville, Ga from May 9-11. Hosted by No. 1 North Georgia, the tournament will feature fifteen of the top 25 teams competing for five spots at the national championship. Among these teams are six of the top ten in the rankings, making for a highly competitive field.
The team, led by Michael Carlisle, will be represented by Oscar Abrahamsson, Justice Hartman, Rory McDonald O’Brien, Erik Olin, and Gage Weeks. Each player brings their unique skills and strengths to the team.
Abrahamsson holds a 72.06 stroke average and was co-champion of the Wexford Intercollegiate. He has consistently performed well throughout the season and is a valuable member of the team.
Olin leads the team with a 71.81 stroke average and has achieved top-five finishes in multiple tournaments throughout the season. His consistency and skill make him a force to be reckoned with on the course.
McDonald O’Brien has a 72.18 stroke average and won the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate earlier this year. He also secured another top-five finish this season and is an important asset to the team’s success.
