Regional Organization Promotes Family Discussions on Organ Donation

Vermont Green FC faced a tough opponent in Carolina Core and lost the game 2-1, eliminating them from the US Open Cup. In the first half, Vermont Green took an early lead with Yaniv Bazini’s successful penalty conversion in the 28th minute. Goalkeeper Nathan Schnur made five important saves to keep his team ahead. However, Carolina Core fought back in the second half and scored a penalty goal by Papa Ndoye to level the score at 1-1 in the 60th minute. Joshua Rodriguez then scored a goal in the 70th minute, leaving Vermont Green struggling to keep up.

Despite having several opportunities to equalize, Vermont Green was unable to do so and lost the game by a final score of 2-1. Afterwards, head coach Adam Pfeifer commended his team for their effort against a strong opponent and expressed gratitude for their support from fans and the community. With their exit from the US Open Cup behind them, Vermont Green will now focus on preparing for their upcoming USL2 campaign that begins on May 18th against Boston City.
