A comprehensive report on the startup ecosystem in Vietnam has been released, providing a detailed analysis of the development trends of new businesses focused on science and technology. The National Startup Index Report was unveiled during a ceremony to present the National Startup Promotion Index Framework Report and launch the Startup Research Institute on April 17. Developed by the Institute for Entrepreneurship Research, part of the National Startup Association, this report will be published annually to compare Vietnam’s startup ecosystem to those of other countries in the region and the world.
The report highlights the importance of identifying advantages in Vietnam’s startup ecosystem, analyzing potential industries, and promoting investment in startups. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen An Thinh, Deputy Director of the Institute for Startup Research, emphasized these points during a recent presentation. He also emphasized that the report aims to build a knowledge and innovation economy, enhance competitiveness, and foster entrepreneurial spirit among youth.
The report is divided into five parts, analyzing global startup trends, national startup criteria, localities, industries, fields, and startup faces. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh highlighted the role of businesses in applying science, technology, and innovation to drive socio-economic development.
