Walnuts: A Hidden Gem for Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Heart Health

Omega-3 fatty acids are crucial for maintaining normal cell activity and supporting heart and brain health. Besides salmon, mackerel, flaxseed oil, eggs, and shellfish, walnuts also provide a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. The three types of omega-3, DHA, EPA, and ALA, have various benefits for the heart, such as reducing triglycerides and increasing good HDL cholesterol levels.
