Jefferson & Madison Counties to Host Wellness Expo in Collaboration with Health Departments

A wellness expo aimed at promoting overall health and wellness in the community will be held in Monticello. Organized by the Jefferson & Madison County Departments of Health Chronic Disease Committee, the event is free to attend and open to the public.

Administrator Kimberly Allbritton emphasizes the importance of raising awareness about colo-rectal health and encouraging proactive health practices through events like these. The expo will provide access to free health screenings, disaster-preparedness information, giveaways, and more.

Over 30 vendors will be present at the event, offering a variety of wellness resources and information. In addition to the wellness vendors, Second Harvest of the Big Bend will be on-site at the expo, offering a free produce giveaway and cooking demonstrations.

The event will take place at the First Baptist Church of Monticello from 4 to 7 p.m., with a goal of providing valuable resources and information to help individuals improve their health and well-being.
