WhatsApp has announced that it will no longer work on a series of older smartphones, affecting users who use devices that are no longer compatible with the latest software versions. To continue using WhatsApp without interruptions, users must have a smartphone running at least Android version 5.0 or later, iOS 12 or later, KaiOS version 2.5.0 or later.
Several Samsung models, including Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Express 2, Galaxy Grand and more will no longer support WhatsApp. Motorola models such as Moto G are also on the list, along with Apple models like iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and iPhone 6. Huawei models like Ascend P6 S and Ascend G525 will also no longer support the messaging app.
It’s important for users to check whether their device will no longer be supported by WhatsApp and make sure their device is running a compatible software version to continue using the messaging app without interruptions. Users should also consider upgrading their device if it is not compatible with the latest software versions to avoid any disruptions in future updates.
