Two former world No. 1s and Grand Slam champions, Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki, have been awarded wild cards into the 2024 BNP Paribas Open. The tournament will be held from March 3 to 17 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California.
Venus Williams, who has won seven Grand Slam singles titles and four Olympic gold medals, will be making her return to the desert for the first time since 2019 when she reached the quarterfinals. With an illustrious career spanning over 40 years, Williams holds a total of 49 WTA titles and has spent a combined total of 11 weeks as the No. 1-ranked singles player in the world and eight weeks as the World No. 1 in doubles.
Caroline Wozniacki, who won the Australian Open in 2018 and the BNP Paribas Open in 2011, will also be making her comeback to Indian Wells after taking a three-year hiatus following the birth of her two children.
