Jets reach out to Corey Davis for possible reunion

Corey Davis has been released by the Jets on March 14, after applying for reinstatement to the NFL. However, there is a possibility that the wide receiver could return to Gang Green. Coach Robert Saleh has stated in a press conference at the AFC coaches breakfast that the Jets are in regular communication with Davis and that the door is always open for him to come back. Reporter Connor Hughes has also indicated that the Jets are interested in bringing Davis back to the team.

If Davis does return to the Jets, he will provide a significant boost to their already strong wide receiving group. Garrett Wilson and recently-signed Mike Williams are already part of their roster, and adding Davis will make them even more formidable.

Davis took a break from football last August but was reinstated earlier this month, allowing him to make a comeback to the NFL. He spent his first four years with the Tennessee Titans before signing with the Jets in 2021.

During his time with the Jets, Davis showed promise as a valuable asset to their offense, recording 66 receptions for 1,028 yards and six touchdowns in his first two seasons with the team. If he returns, it could potentially create a dynamic wide receiving corps that opposing teams will have to contend with.

Overall, whether or not Corey Davis returns to the Jets remains uncertain at this point. But if he does come back, it could be a significant boost for Gang Green’s offense.
