British players triumph in doubles matches despite rain delays.

On a rainy day at Wimbledon, four British players made it through the doubles draws. Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool were among them, with Cash partnering with American Robert Galloway to win their first round match against France’s Theo Arribage and New Zealander Marcus Daniell. They won 7-6 (8-6) 6-3. Meanwhile, Glasspool teamed up with Dutch partner Jean-Julien Rojer to defeat Guido Andreozzi and Miguel Reyes-Varela 6-0 6-3.

Henry Patten also advanced to the third round with partner Harri Heliovaara after winning their match against Spaniards Pedro Martinez and Jaume Munar 7-6 (7-5) 6-3. In the women’s doubles, Olivia Nicholls and Slovakian Tereza Mihalikova secured a spot in the third round with a win over Poland’s Magda Linette and Peyton Stearns of the United States 6-2 6-0. Unfortunately, Charles Broom and Arthur Fery’s men’s doubles match was suspended due to rain after winning the first set 6-4.

Eden Silva and Samantha Murray Sharan were trailing eighth seeds Barbora Krejcikova and Laura Siegemund when their match was interrupted by rain. Sadly, mixed doubles matches for Glasspool and Dart, as well as Willis and Barnett, and Salisbury and Skupski with their respective partners did not take place due to the weather conditions.
