This weekend, the MTU Kerry North Campus hosted a Family Science Week showcase event that attracted a wide range of attendees. Among those captured in photos were Aliyah Bruse and Rebekah Landy, who were having a great time at the event. Ten-year-old Eoin McMillan was also photographed getting into the scientific spirit, while Daithi Nolan was seen enjoying himself alongside Keely Flaherty and Lily Walsh with Nutty Scientist Robert Cooke.

Muireann Hussey from Mercy Mounthawk in Tralee was captured testing the skin of Daithi Nolan at the showcase event, which was part of National Science Week. Sisters August Culhane and Sheeryn Culhane were also present at the event, while six-year-olds Keelan Wren, Aidan Nkomo, and Jayden Duma were seen enjoying the VR experience.

The showcase event included a variety of activities such as VR experiences, scientific testing, robotics, weather forecasting, electric vehicle display, sustainable food making, zoology, book reading, children’s sustainable recycling workshop, slime experiments and much more. Organizers described it as a fantastic day of free entertainment and noted the wonder in the children’s eyes at the range of activities available to them.

The Munster Technological University’s (MTU) North Campus in Tralee saw a busy weekend with this showcase event being just one of many attractions. Check out our photo gallery above for more snapshots from the event.
