In the midst of ongoing preliminary insolvency proceedings, Zizooboats GmbH’s Berlin branch has recently been taken over by a provisional insolvency administrator. The administrator is responsible for securing and preserving the debtor’s assets, which include bank balances, claims from creditors, and incoming funds. Coparion and Check 24 Ventures have also been involved in both the Berlin and Vienna branches of Zizooboats.
The Charlottenburg District Court has granted the provisional insolvency administrator authority to collect these assets and has ordered that Zizoo provide a completed list of its assets by February 23, 2024. This move comes after complaints about Zizoo’s business practices in the past, including unpaid boat rentals and refunds for cancellations and failed rentals.
Meanwhile, Viennese lawyer Paul Kessler has filed a bankruptcy petition at the Vienna Commercial Court on behalf of Zizooboats GmbH Wien. If Zizoo denies insolvency, it must prove that it has paid its creditors or entered into installment agreements with them. Despite these challenges, it is important to note that this is only a preliminary step in the insolvency process, and further action may be required to resolve the situation fully.
