A murder-suicide attempt in Santa Ana has left two victims dead and one person critically injured. The victims have been identified as Jordan Block, 25, and Brian Martin, 64. The niece and uncle were found shot in a unit of a business complex in Santa Ana.
Jordan was visiting her uncle on Thursday when her boyfriend also arrived. According to authorities, the niece called 911 to report that her boyfriend had stabbed her and her uncle. When police arrived, they found the victims already dead.
Brian Martin was known for being cordial to all tenants of the business complex where he rented a unit. In addition to being friendly, he taught women’s self-defense classes and was known for his conscientious nature. One of his ancient swords was found bloodied outside the garage.
The motive for the attack is still under investigation, but it is believed that Jordan’s boyfriend was responsible for the deaths of both her and her uncle. He was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the unit and is in critical condition as of Friday afternoon.
