Despite declining investments and poor mood among businesses in Europe, Greiner has continued to invest heavily in European locations. In fact, over 80 percent of their 138 million euros in investments went towards European countries, with 56 million euros invested specifically in Austria.

Greiner’s CEO Saori Dubourg emphasized their commitment to staying anchored in Europe due to the favorable conditions for developing new technologies and products. The company has also been working to achieve EU recycling goals and comply with the Supply Chain Act as part of their sustainability strategy. Despite facing challenges such as declining sales and cost increases, Greiner’s finance director Hannes Moser described the results as solid.

In addition to investing in their employees with a focus on artificial intelligence and sustainability, Greiner is also working to increase the proportion of women in management positions to 40 percent by 2030. Last year alone, the company increased its number of employees worldwide by 9.3 percent to 10,544 employees, despite global labor shortages. There are currently 190 vacant positions at Greiner, with 60 of them located in Austria.

Overall, it seems that Greiner is taking a positive outlook on the business location Austria despite challenges faced by other businesses in Europe. Their focus on sustainability and investment in developing new technologies may be contributing to their success despite declining investments elsewhere.
