New AI Certification Programs Launched by CompTIA
CompTIA has recently announced the launch of two new certification programs in AI: the Essentials series and the Expansion series. These programs aim to help individuals develop and maintain their AI skills. The Essentials series will be released in July 2024 and focuses on various tech career areas and roles, including software development, cybersecurity, systems operations (SysOps), data analytics, prompt engineering, and AI systems architecture. It is designed to be applicable to any occupation, whether in tech-specific positions or adjacent roles that rely on technology.
The Essentials series covers topics such as the landscape of AI, available AI tools, challenges in AI, benefits of AI for creativity and work enhancement, and future implications of AI. On the other hand, the Expansion series is designed for individuals with CompTIA Plus (+) or Pro certification in areas like security engineering, penetration testing, security analysis, data analysis, systems operations, tech support, AI systems architecture
