During Apple’s “Let Loose” event on Tuesday, the company unveiled new accessories for its latest iPad models. The most notable accessory is the Apple Pencil Pro, which is described as a game-changer for users looking to express their creativity.
Priced starting at $129, the Pencil Pro features a new sensor on the barrel that users can squeeze to access a tool palette with line weights and colors for creating art. Artists using the Pencil Pro with graphic-design software like Procreate can utilize shortcuts by pressing the barrel to adjust brushes, image size, and color.
In addition to the Pencil Pro, Apple also announced that it has redesigned its Magic Keyboard since 2020. It is thinner and lighter than its predecessor and comes in black and white color options. The Magic Keyboard is available in two sizes: one for the 11-inch Pro at $299 and another for the 13-inch Pro model at $349.
The new features of the Magic Keyboard include a function row for controls like screen brightness, aluminum palm rests, and a larger trackpad. Apple claims that it offers a MacBook-like experience, making the iPad Pro more portable and versatile. Both accessories are available for preorder starting on Tuesday, with shipping scheduled to begin next week.
