New iPads from Apple feature advanced technology including the M4 chip and upgraded digital pencil functionality

Apple has unveiled new models of its iPad tablets, including the powerful M4 chip capable of artificial intelligence (AI). The company announced updates to complementary applications and accessories, such as the digital pen and ‘magic’ keyboard. In a documentary-style video streamed from Cupertino, California, CEO Tim Cook called it the biggest day for the iPad since its launch.

The star of the range is the new iPad Pro, which is thinner than ever and available in two sizes – 11 and 13 inches. It features an OLED screen and is powered by the M4 chip, making it the most powerful device in its category according to hardware manager Tim Millet. The M4 chip, built with second-generation 3-nanometer technology, offers significant performance and capabilities improvements, particularly in AI tasks.

Apple also introduced a redesigned iPad Air model in two sizes – 11 and 13 inches – powered by the M2 chip with AI capabilities. The company launched the Apple Pencil Pro and a lighter and thinner Magic Keyboard, as well as enhanced versions of the Final Cut Pro video editing and Logic Pro music production applications.

These new products aim to enhance the user experience and performance of Apple’s popular iPad lineup. With a focus on AI capabilities and improved accessories, Apple continues to push the boundaries of technology in the tablet market.
