As the reigning champions, Australia is placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and a qualifying team. Meanwhile, Group B consists of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and another qualifier team. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
To determine the two qualifying teams for the tournament, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi, UAE will take place from May 1 to May 7. The top two teams from this event will secure their spots in the tournament. Australia will kick off their title defense against one of these qualifiers on October 4th at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh. All of Australia’s group matches are scheduled to be played there.

AEDT is used from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April while AEST is used during the rest of the year. With six titles under their belt and being placed alongside some strong opponents such as India and Pakistan, it’ll be interesting to see if they can maintain their dominance in this tournament as well.
