Swan Valley Outperforms John Glenn

In the first game on Tuesday, Joey Miller pitched a complete game for Swan Valley, allowing just seven hits and one run while striking out six. Lucas Ordway led the offense with three hits, two RBIs, and two runs. Jaxon Hartley, Colton Klein, and Aaron Smith also contributed with two RBIs each for the Vikings. The second game was interrupted by rain after just three innings with John Glenn leading 2-0. Both teams are hoping to resume the doubleheader on Wednesday.

In softball news, Chesaning had a dominant performance against Durand, winning both games by lopsided scores. In the opener, Izzy Popilek threw a no-hitter in three innings, striking out nine batters and also hitting three times with three RBIs. Ava Devereaux led the offense with three hits including a double and homerun , five RBIs ,three stolen bases and three runs . Brezlyn Struck threw a one-hitter in the second game, striking out five batters while Marenda Jones , Abbey VanHaaren and Kalyn Trevino each had two hits . Nicole Neumann added to the team’s success by scoring three runs , stealing four bases , walking thrice and contributing to the team’s wins.
