The Gladstone BraveBots robotics team recently returned home after competing in the World competition in Houston, Texas. They had earned their spot in the tournament by performing exceptionally well in the state competition.
During the three-day competition, the BraveBots competed on the Johnson Field and won their last seven games, finishing with a record of 8-2. They were partnered with teams from North Carolina and California and even defeated the number 3 alliance. However, they ultimately lost to the number 7 alliance, who went on to win the tournament.
Coach Tim Barron praised his team for their hard work and dedication throughout the competition, particularly in scouting 125 games. He also commended the senior members of the team for their leadership and thanked them for setting an excellent example for future generations of BraveBots players.
Barron expressed gratitude towards his mentors who dedicated their time and expertise to help his team succeed. He acknowledged that without their support, it would not have been possible for his team to achieve such remarkable results. Although he said farewell to graduating seniors, Barron is optimistic about what lies ahead for his talented underclassmen on this promising robotics team.
