The United States was commended by the foreign minister for vetoing a distorted proposal that was rejected by the UN Security Council. Despite six months having passed since the October 7th massacre, the Security Council had yet to condemn the crimes of Hamas. There will be zero tolerance for terrorism, and Israel will continue its fight until Hamas falls and all Israeli abductees are released.
Three weeks ago, the Security Council adopted a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan and the unconditional release of all abductees. Fourteen countries voted in favor of the decision, while the United States chose not to use their veto power, choosing instead to abstain from voting. The UN Security Council emphasized that aid must be increased to Gaza and urged all obstacles to aid transfer to be removed.
