Tulsa Man Develops Mental Health Event Series

A local mental health event series called “I Didn’t Want To Tell You: Normalizing The Conversation Around Mental Health” has been drawing large crowds in Tulsa. Bobby Dean Orcutt, the organizer, started the series after struggling to find in-person PTSD and anxiety disorder support groups in the area in late 2023. Through social media, Bobby reached out to the community and found many others seeking similar resources.

Since then, Bobby has organized six successful events focused on mental health, with topics ranging from trauma and addiction to depression and spirituality. Guest speakers like Sterlin Harjo and Mary Beth Babcock have been featured at these events.

Bobby will be joining us on the Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to discuss the upcoming mental health event with artist Marlon F. Hall. If you are interested in learning more about the event, please click here for more details.
