Pierce County deputies retrieve truck belonging to business owner in Tacoma.

On Sunday night, KIRO 7’s Jake Chapman interviewed a Tacoma business owner who was devastated after his box truck containing his entire gutter business was stolen. Ron Baker feared he would have to start over from scratch after the theft occurred on Friday night.

Luckily, on Monday night, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office informed KIRO 7 that the stolen truck had been recovered. However, it is still unclear if all the tools inside the truck were still present. The incident took place in the 30300 block of 72nd Avenue South in Roy, where deputies responded to an unwanted person call and found a man sleeping inside the stolen truck. The man was subsequently arrested.

KIRO 7 is actively seeking more information about the recovery of the truck and whether any of the stolen equipment has been found or recovered. In a gesture of support, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist Baker in purchasing new tools and equipment.
