Man admits to breaking into eight businesses in Cambridge

Robert Rust, a 36-year-old man from Stirling Road in Northstowe, Cambridge, has pleaded guilty to burgling eight businesses. He entered his plea at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on 12 April following a spate of break-ins at businesses in Cambridge during March. The incidents included takeaways and stores.

Rust was remanded in custody for sentencing at Cambridge Crown Court on 6 May. For two of the break-ins, another man received an 18-month suspended sentence.
