Grant to Support Growth and Sustainability of Charlotte’s Business Districts

Charlotte has recently introduced a new grant program for Business District Organizations (BDOs) located within the Corridors of Opportunity. The Start-Scale-Sustain (S3) grant is designed to support these organizations in their efforts to serve local businesses within this area.

To be eligible for the grant, organizations must be a nonprofit with an existing or pending 501(c)3 or 501(c)6 designation. They must also represent at least 10 businesses in the business district they serve and have an active SAM.gov Unique Entity Identifier or fiduciary/fiscal sponsor with a UEI.

Applications for the grant will be accepted until June 14 at 5 p.m. To learn more about the grant program and application guidelines, participants can attend a question-and-answer webinar on May 16 at 11 a.m., hosted by city staff. To register for the webinar, interested applicants should email corridorsofopportunity@charlottenc.gov in advance and receive a virtual meeting link by email after registration. More information on the grant program can be found on the S3 grant webpage.
