Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown is looking forward to an increased workload in the 2024 season, now that star player Joe Mixon has left the team. As a rookie last season, Brown served as a backup to Mixon and only had 44 carries for 179 yards without scoring any touchdowns. However, with Mixon gone, he anticipates taking on more responsibilities this year.
In preparation for this opportunity, Brown has been focusing on self-care during the offseason by hiring professionals to assist him in maintaining his physical well-being. He is competing with Zack Moss for the starting running back position and is determined to improve his body. “I have a lot of people now around me to help keep my body in shape,” he said. “I’m working with a trainer, a physical therapist, and a masseuse who visit me multiple times a week at my home.”
Brown emphasized the importance of investing in one’s body and craft while others may prioritize different activities during the offseason. During his time at Illinois, he demonstrated his ability to handle a significant workload by carrying the ball 328 times for 1,643 yards in his senior season. While he may not receive as many carries in Cincinnati this season, Brown is prepared to make the most of every opportunity he is given by the Bengals.
