Ranking Member Ernst, a U.S. Senator and member of the Senate Small Business Committee, has announced her Small Business of the Week: The Cottage of Crawford County. As part of her initiative to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties, she will continue to feature different businesses throughout this Congress.
Located in Denison, The Cottage is a thriving home decor business owned by mother and daughter duo Cindy and Taylor Borkowski. Their passion for home decor has transformed into a successful enterprise that continues to delight customers with quality products and exceptional service.
The Borkowskis have been recognized by Ranking Member Ernst for their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to creating a strong community in Crawford County. Their team at The Cottage has been wished even more success as they move into their new location.
In 2020, The Cottage purchased the Your Treasure Chest store and rebranded it as The Cottage on Broadway in Denison. They offer an extensive selection of home decor, children’s items, seasonal items, and devotional items that are showcased on their Facebook page. Their dedication to excellence has earned them recognition as the Best Boutique in Crawford County and the Innovators Award from the local Chamber and Development Council. This year marks the fourth anniversary of The Cottage’s successful business journey.
