In recent news, Denver Nuggets superfan Vicki Ray has filed a lawsuit against Kroenke Sports and Entertainment for being banned from games at Ball Arena. Ray, who has held season tickets for 32 years and has had the same seats for 25 years along the rail of the walkway the Nuggets use to take the court, believes that her conduct complies with the NBA Fan Code of Conduct.
In documents submitted to the court, Ray asserts that her ban is a deliberate attempt to resell her season tickets at a higher price due to increasing demand for Denver Nuggets tickets. The ban also means giving up four seats that she purchased for $20,000.
Ray’s lawsuit alleges breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, violation of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act, and intentional or reckless infliction of emotional distress. The case has been filed in Denver District Court.
