The Detroit High School Sports Awards, sponsored by Detroit Area Honda Dealers, is proud to announce the nominees for Boys and Girls Wrestler of the Year. The winners will be revealed during a live show scheduled to take place on June 18 at The Fillmore Detroit.
The show is produced in partnership with the U.S. Army and is part of a nine-month student-athlete recognition program, one of 20 regional shows across the United States. It will culminate in a red-carpet event this spring, acknowledging athletes, coaches, and teams from the greater Detroit region that participate in sanctioned Michigan High School Athletic Association sports.
During the live show, nominees will be honored, along with players of the year for each of the 27 other recognized sports. Awards will be presented for on- and off-the-field achievements, including a Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards. All nominated athletes who RSVP will receive complementary tickets to the event thanks to sponsors.
