Double Tragedy in France as Drug Trafficking Gangs Resort to Violence for Revenge

On Sunday afternoon in Sevran, a city on the outskirts of Paris, two men were brutally gunned down. This tragic incident took place just days after another shooting on Friday night, which claimed one life and left four others injured in what seems to be a revenge between rival drug trafficking gangs operating in France.

According to Actu 17, the two victims, aged 33 and 34, were shot dead around 6:15 p.m. local time on the street of Snowdrop in Basse neighborhood. The perpetrator fled the scene, leaving behind approximately twenty bullet casings. Authorities believe that this crime is connected to drug trafficking as both victims had a history of involvement in the illegal drug trade and violence.

This double homicide occurred within 48 hours of another case being investigated as a revenge between rival gangs involved in the drug trade in Beaudottes neighborhood, known for its conflicts. In that incident, a 28-year-old man was killed and four others were injured by kalashnikov shots from an individual who was reportedly the co-pilot of a car that entered the vicinity of Micro Folie cultural center.

The mayor of Sevran, Stéphane Blanchet, stated that such violence is not random but rather linked to drug trafficking and dirty money.
