Fire crews in Summerville respond to early morning fire at local business

Early Sunday morning, multiple businesses in Summerville, South Carolina were hit with smoke and water damage after a fire broke out on the 1200 block of Old Trolley Road. The incident was reported as a commercial fire, and crews were able to locate and control the blaze within five minutes of arriving on the scene. However, neighboring businesses suffered from smoke and water damage.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety in commercial properties. This incident occurred just before 4:30 a.m., with authorities closing Old Trolley Road at Beverly Drive until just before 7 a.m., when the road was reopened.
