UNDP leads the way with innovative training programs for a skilled workforce and sustainable green economy.

As part of its Local Peacebuilding and Resilience efforts, the UNDP Libya collaborated with the Libyan Korean Centre and local stakeholders to develop five training programs aimed at creating a skilled workforce that supports a sustainable, greener economy in Libya. These training programs focus on energy assessment and innovative building, recycling skills, municipal waste management, environmental health and safety, and circular economy entrepreneurship.

On 15 April, the initiative was announced as part of UNDP’s ongoing efforts to support job creation for youth in Libya. The program is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, with support from the Republic of Korea.

The UNDP Libya believes that these training programs will equip young people with the skills they need to succeed in the growing green economy in Libya. By focusing on renewable energy, sustainable building practices, waste management, health and safety standards, and circular economy entrepreneurship, these programs aim to create a more resilient and prosperous future for Libya.
