Atlanta Braves fans will once again have the opportunity to experience a unique broadcast thanks to Bally Sports. This season, they are bringing back a special “players only” booth for the game against the Chicago Cubs next Wednesday.
Jeff Francoeur, Tom Glavine, Chipper Jones and retired catcher Brian McCann will be featured in the booth. While McCann does not have formal broadcasting experience, he has made special guest appearances before. The dynamic of having four analysts without a play-by-play man created a unique and exciting atmosphere during previous broadcasts.
The first iteration of the alternate broadcast last season was memorable for fans as it featured an intense matchup where the Braves ultimately walked off against the Mets in extra innings with 23 total runs, nine home runs, four lead changes and twelve pitchers taking the ball. It solidified the appeal of the “Legends Booth.”
Now, fans eagerly anticipate this upcoming game set for 7:20 PM ET.
