On April 11, thirty students from Pioneer Valley High School’s Business Technology Department embarked on a field trip to the California Science Center in Los Angeles. During their visit, they were able to explore various sections of the museum, including Air and Space Travel, Life and Biology, and Ecosystems.
The exhibits throughout the museum focused on how things work and how technology impacts the world through human inventions and innovations. The students were able to engage with interactive exhibits, which allowed them to have a hands-on experience and gain insight into how the world operates. This experience helped them envision their future educational aspirations and potential career paths.
In addition to exploring the exhibits, the students were treated to a 3-D IMAX movie titled “Cities of the Future” in the center’s theater. The movie explored how science and technology are influencing the way people live and travel in cities globally. Many students shared positive feedback about their experience at the museum, with some expressing a desire to return in the future.
Student Modesto Lopez appreciated seeing the aircraft hanging from the roof, while student Andrea Cruz Marin enjoyed touching the starfish in the fish tank.
